"There's no rush in knitting. That's what I needed when I started, and that's what Milotté still is."
– Victoria
Milotté started in a small apartment, between hospital shifts. As a nurse, I needed something for my hands and my mind that wasn't sterile or quick. I picked up a pair of knitting needles and started counting stitches. That was where it began.
I designed my first pattern because I couldn't find what I wanted to make. Then a second, then a third. Friends asked for them. Strangers asked for them. Slowly, something was being built.
I have always been drawn to fashion – not because of trends alone, but because of the way clothes can hold a feeling. The right piece can make you stand a little softer, feel a little more feminine, and move through the day with a quiet kind of confidence.
Over time, Milotté has grown beyond patterns into yarn kits, collaborations, and the beginnings of ready-made pieces.
There is a lot more I want Milotté to become, and I’m so glad you’re here at this point in the story.
