Jolie Sweater
Description
Jolie Sweater knitting pattern by Milotté. Available in English, Norwegian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Danish.
Jolie Sweater is worked from the top down, with a lace pattern running down the centre front. The back is worked flat and shaped at the top with German short rows that add height at the centre back. Stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge for each shoulder, and the neckline is shaped. The shoulders are joined into a front piece where the lace chart begins at the centre front. Front and back are joined under the arms and the body is worked in the round with the lace pattern carried up the front. The sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked downwards, and the neckband is worked last. Fringes are optional and attached at the very end.
Alpakka Ull and Tynn Silk Mohair held together give a soft garment with a gentle weight and drape. Mitu from Rauma is a good alternative: it feels a little lighter than Alpakka Ull, but is otherwise the same.
